Wow…I just turned 30 on 11/11/11 and i was born @11:11pm on 11/11/1981. Funny my girlfriend and I always talk about checking the clock and seeing 11:11, she is a 9/9.

I wanted to check in a let people know, this post, and the original one over at my previous location at surfingthetao.blogspot.com (http://surfingthetao.blogspot.com/2006/11/1111-phenomenon.html) are still getting comments, in fact I think there may be more comments on the 11.11 post than any other post I’ve ever written. It truly is an intriguing phenomenon, and the stories here and the ones at the old blogspot are simply amazing. It’s still happening to us here too. Still really not sure why but probably a combination of a lot of things people have suggested. Pay attention. Much love.

Thanks for sharing your story. That is a powerful example of how number synchronicity manifests in daily life during profound experiences. I would suggest you DO NOT worry about 8/11/2011, but remain aware during this time. It may not necessarily be the outbreak of a war or horrible incident, it can also signal a time of positive change. I recall an incident thirty years ago, where every year for several years something tragic would occur in my life on the same day Aug. 10. I began to dred that day when it came on the calendar. Then nothing would happen on that day, and I’d be walking on eggshells anticipating “something” to happen any minute.

That in itself is the lesson of number synchroncity and how it can serve as a tool to awaken us to our greater reality. To avoid the trap of living constantly in dualism and projecting into the past or future, you deny yourself the eternal moment. Live each moment as it unfolds, attempting to release any preconceptions you brought from the past or fear you have of the future.

I have experienced this number sequence before. Something that came to my mind recently made me research this topic. I was aware of September 11th and that numbers for that date mean something etc. But something that happened in my life exactly 10 years and 1 month earlier on 10/11/1991 made me thing about this more. There was incident during the war in former Yugoslavia, and on this date number of people died-civilians. Civilians were also targeted in September 11th event.In both events year ends with 1 and its 11th of month only difference is 1 month. I am starting to ask myself: Should I be worried about 8/11/2011?

I am pleased and encouraged to see so many sharing their experiences and interpretations of 11:11. There are many resources out there and what I’m most impressed with is that diverse researchers from around the world have documented and reported similar circumstances throughout history and current events. Many people of different ages and cultures have shared similar experiences. How can this be?

This IS a time of awakening. As more people recognize 11:11 and other synchronicities, this reflects a greater awareness among humanity as a whole. Eventually, I believe this will trigger a shift in consciousness. With so much darkness in the world, pain, and turmoil, it is imperative that more of us hold the light and remain aware of the synchronicities around us, especially those with number significance.

I don’t claim to have the answer to the 11:11 phenomenon, but I have spent 30 years documenting its occurrence, and coined the term “number synchronicity” based on my 1998 doctoral research Master Number Synchronicity and the Evolution of Human Consciousness, eventually published in 2004 as the nonfiction book NUMBER SYNCHRONICITY. I don’t want this post to seem like a solicition to buy my book. (It’s available for free anyway on Google Books!) I merely wish to share my knowledge and experience for those who may be seeking answers of their own.

I have interviewed and surveyed hundreds of people from dozens of countries, relating their 11:11 experiences. Trained as an archeologist, I come from a strict science background with skills of observation, measurement, categorizing, documentation, analyzing, and reporting. Consequently, I gathered many hundreds of examples of number synchronicity in categories of nature, world religions, space exploration, sports, entertainment, trivia, history, and world news events, including eerie number synchronicities embedded throughout the vents of September 11, 2001. Before publishing my book, I included an appeix reviewing the numerological charts for the presidential candidates for the 2004 election, and followed up with a PICKING A PRESIDENT BY THE NUMBERS booklet that analyzes the numerology of candidates in the 2008 election. Interesting information that is difficult to dispute. Interesting to note that the 2012 US election in November (the 11th month) will occur near the time of the prophecied December 12, 2012…what we do between now and then will shape the next stage of our evolution.

2012 is only a marker on the road. It is not the destination or the end.

The 11:11 phenomenon is SO much larger than a date on a calendar or the election of a president. Each of holds a piece of the puzzle. Together we can form the entire picture for a greater understanding.

I’ve been seeing 11 minutes after any hour for several years now. For awhile there I was beginning to think I was going crazy. Then I started to feel fear every time I saw 11 after the hour. And then I would just laugh about it and think God must be apart of it. I mean to tell you I was seeing 11 after the hour like crazy. I would wake up because one of my children would be crying, I look at the clock, “3:11″, I would wake up just to use the rest room, “5:11″. It wouldn’t matter, I would be driving and not look at the time all day and when I finally do, it’s like 8:11 p.m. There are times I just laugh so much and shake my head because it’s so unreal. I mean I won’t pay any attention what-so-ever at the time and when I finally look, it would be 11 after Any hour. I now think it’s pretty cool because I realized something Much bigger than me is at force here. I’m hoping it’s God’s angels trying to get my attention. I just wish I knew.
