- Through the Looking Glass has some interesting comments on the California firestorms, and also points out an old USA Today article from 2003 that suggests the FBI knew of a terrorist plot to start wildfires…sounds like an episode of “24”…but where was Jack Bauer? There are reports officials are investigating possible arson. Astrology isn’t my usual stomping grounds, but I will note that Mars (fire) is in Cancer. Oh – and Mercury’s in retrograde, too.

To me, that first article is really straining for things to say “Ooooo” at. The names of the fires? They’re named for area places and things to keep the fires easily identifiable – in the cases mentioned, Witch Creek and the Magic Mountain amusement park. There are also fires named Ranch and Canyon. Oooooo!
