Thanks for all the thoughts. The process of sharing and feedback on these topics is crucial - we build upon each other in this ever increasing spiral of consciousness.

Brian, your insight is great - I might suppose only very few will recognize the need to 'disconnect' on some level, and even fewer actually will - not from society as a whole in any 'radical' way, just on a level of consciousness that at least acknowledges the illusion; in other words, perhaps in a more Tao or Zen way, just being in the world but not of it. We sometimes have to empty our cups before they can be filled again.

Also, Todd, very interesting about the spraying and the drought. I'll keep that in mind.

Hi Angela,

This is a great post, as intricately woven as the tao you surf. You've done a wonderful job of compiling a number of diverse lines of information into a single perspective.

Yet, I cannot help but wonder that the world would become an unlivable chaos if *everyone* "disconnected', as you recommend. To be frank the vast majority is not sufficiently developed intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually for this to be workable. Thus, I wonder what sort of actionable recommendations can be made to government or other groups to help ameliorate the situation.

I actually think that the internet itself is one of the most important tools in preventing (or ameliorating) many of the effects that you describe, merely by increasing communication--this is also implicit in the previous commenter's post. The Bard didn't scribe, "The pen is mightier than the sword", for no reason. Despite lurking infringements on privacy, it is amazing to me how *accepted* this new technology and way of life has become. It is almost as if this planet is growing a bio-mechanical implant to help unify the fractured mental doings of its most dominant and destructive species.

Just a few thoughts, anyway. Best of luck, and happy sufing!

A wonderfully woven text. I like the image of the surfboard; the notion of the approaching giant waveform (I have dreamt it) and we must ride it - transform ourselves through it - or else be consumed by it. Let us provide faith and comfort for each other. Stick together. Find the others. Thank you.

Hi Angela - great to see your insightful thought-connections surfing again... and showing how the fragments of insanity are knocking side-by-side with more rising fragments of consciousness...

And joining the dots between consciousness emergences will strengthen the thread that humanity weaves on the evolutionary path...

A pleasure to follow your words, and your hope....

hey looks like we are back on track to bebop to Hawaii (most likely Kauai) in the spring to test the waters over there as a possible place to settle. We should connect up before then to exchange notes.

on the topic of freedom in your post... Well following a Taoist path is a bout free as free one can get in the human experience... barring all the ties and connections of course.

and in that it still a choice if one holds on to the baggage or not. Baggage does have its uses at times.

:) peace and until laterz

Wonderful stuff here...your words and insights are right on target. The web is being woven and spun at a fever pitch right now...people are becoming so lost in fantasy they are practically begging for it now.

As for the weather, I am in Georgia (NE where the drought is at it's worst) and I am becoming more and more suspicious of it. I am starting to think that they are holding back rain on purpose. It hadn't rained in well over a month...the Governor prays for rain on the steps of the state Capitol, and within a week (Thanksgiving Day to be exact) it rains...crazy cloud patterns (which I don't recall having seen much before) and daily spraying suggest severe weather manipulation at work.

What came of it? Georgia, Florida and Alabama arguing about the amount of run-off allowed from Georgia to keep shellfish alive downstream (in those other states)...why is this important? because they took the issue to the Feds...why is this important? Because it sets the stage for states to give up their water rights to the Federal Government...that's the beginning of the end right there. Food, water, and shelter...our basic ability to survive being stripped away from us.
