fascinating, thought-provoking post, as always! I no loner can access your blog, unfortunately, from work, but try to make it a regular stop when I get home after dinner.

Just a quick comment: the african fractals video (thanks for the link) reminded me that Eglash&#039;s book was one of the last books I gave my dad as a gift before he died a few years ago. My dad, not being mathematically trained at all, had a very hard understanding the technical aspects; but he immediately resonated, on an artistic level, with Eglash&#039;s examples. Its a very nuce book if you haven&#039;t seen it:
