Modern, serious theories about FTL travel (Alcubierre, Krasnikov, et al.) accepted by modern scientists of the calibre of Dr. Stephen Hawking, involve no event horizon crossing. In fact, if you do that, you will die. Opening a wormhole in a way effective for crossing and surviving implies - in theory - the use of large amounts of exotic energy. This would keep the hole and its baryonic simmetric on "the other side" opened, but that implies that the even horizon would be eliminated as long as the wormhole is kept opened. Forget about event horizons.
