My sincere and deep condolences. I know the pain only too well. Last year, my family lost our precious little pug “Lapa” (Russian for “Paw”) when she was run over by a hit and run driver (in an otherwise quiet residential street). Needless to say, we are still heart-broken. Dogs are very special creatures, and they carve a deep hole in one’s heart that – in truth – never heals.

I really like how you ended your blog entry, for it echoes my own humble little “argument for what Heaven must be like”…if I cannot reconnect with loved ones (and beloved pets) Heaven has no meaning. Thus, either oblivion (or Void, or…) or Lapa never died…but not both.
