Each time an "event" like this takes place I immediately wonder if it's another case of "wag the dog". There always seems to be an undercurrent to these kinds of attacks -- they tend to serve the agenda of someone on our side of the pond. Maybe this is just the right pretense to widen the war into Pakistan -- something the President-Elect seems eager to pursue. I fear our troops will never come home, they'll simply continuously switch theaters. I too have become rather cynical.
