They take immense time and have no set end point. The system is in place, we are oppressed, we are shaped by the hand, we were 1000's of years ago and will be in the future. This is the way of humanity be it a group of 5 or the whole planet. Right now barely anyone acts so freely that they were not even aware of freedom. Everyone acts within constraints that were placed on them gradually. Ideas a college student holds on the world were being inducted onto their parents, through childhood before forming a true uninhibited personality they were being formed by media, peers and family. If you want the oak tree to only give shade to your side of the garden then this process takes a long long time to guide. - If you want the whole of humanity to be under you complete control (the desire of every tyrant ever) then that takes 1000's of years. Within all of this motion to take strangle hold on nature 2 things remain. You can live a simple life and survive your time here. and Whatever 'They' do to further control 'Us' will certainly fail. You can not organize nature, you can not, it will fail, you will kill it. By trying so hard, these people, devoid of the true bliss of being and hung up on power needs are killing that which they aim to control. The Gorilla who was taught sigh language eventually when she could speak enough said "let me go". When they have full control then that which they have control of will be dead. Yin will be reborn from the oppression of Yang. Actually the state they have us in now, oppressed but not quite so we fully all notice, is best for them, as they win and we live on. Keep on consuming. Grow you veg, love your family. Die happy and toothless. In addition, I favor globalization IF we're speaking of it in cultural terms only. It's great for communication and education, but not so great as an economic model.
