There is no doubt we are living in very interesting times indeed. So to endlessly mourn that our trip through this life may be fraught with inequities, confusion, hardship and disasters? Or be grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this era of great change on this rapidly evolving – even swiftly tilting – planet?

Many spiritual philosophies, including Taoism, teach to “surf the wave” you’ve got, so to speak, the best Way you can. The more massive the Wave, the more rewarding our ride will be in the long run. And in order to connect as it rolls towards us with both promises of untapped potential as well as possibilities of certain destruction, one needs to be in a grateful, receiving and balanced state of mind. Gratitude begets greatness. Talk to any surfer.

Perhaps like many growing up in middle America during the 70s and 80s, I had a lot of things I took for granted. I was doted upon, encouraged and supported as so many others around the world were not, but didn’t really realize it at the time. So the first place I owe thanks is to my parents. Fortunately I can tell them that now. But I never consciously thought about gratitude on this level until my 30s, when I experienced my own radical transformation of spirit, as many have by now. It left me literally gasping with love and gratitude for the immense scope and beauty of the Multiverse I now realized I was a part of. It was a powerful and heady time, which eventually led to a book, and then a blog. We are part of a Greater Whole, with a Greater Plan, and if you’re lucky enough to have grokked that too by now, I can skip the next part. If not – sorry, I’m skipping the next part. I can’t give that experience away, even if I wanted to.

Coming out the other end of that, one of the lessons that has stuck with me is something Lao Tzu wrote in the Tao Te Ching, “he who knows enough is enough will always have enough.” Having been born into a materialistic society which seems to congratulate selfishness and immediate gratification, it’s not an easy statement to understand. Of all its possible interpretations, I believe the most powerful is that what we really need, is already within us. If we view life in the simplest of ways, with thanks for all things great and small, we will realize what abundance there really is. We don’t need fancy cars or even a refrigerator full of food to be grateful for life. Often, it’s those of the poorest of circumstances, or poorest of health, who have the sunniest dispositions. They appreciate the little joys of life, and choose to rejoice regardless of their circumstances. They are choosing love and passing it on in the world. On the other hand, the guy made miserable by a scratch on his new Jaguar will not – he will moan and complain and make his family and friends suffer as well by his state of mind. Jesus Himself taught, it’s not things, but our spirits that bring truth and enlightenment, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24).

So is it possible to be grateful during bad times? To mourn the losses, and still hope for the future? I can only answer for myself, and the answer is, yes. I am grateful for the world, even in its present state: through all the war, confusion, evil people, hard times and disasters, there is still compassion, beauty, and love, not to mention the promise of Something Greater. In these most uncertain times, it is even more vitally important that we focus in such a manner. It could be our saving grace. It could be what enables us to see a Doorway into our Future, when it appears.

Don’t get me wrong – simple things are not always easy. This is a conscious choice which requires constant practice. A skill to be developed. As far away as we’ve gotten as a civilization from the understanding that we are All One, is about as far away we are from a planet in complete harmony. Gratitude is no longer a natural state of being. Perhaps long ago, ancient cultures praised that simple yet profound understanding, rather than wealth, power and ego. My husband, for example, wakes every single morning with the words, “Lord, thank you for this beautiful life, and thank you for my wonderful wife, and thank you for this day and all the blessings you pour upon me,” upon his tongue, no matter what, and he is the sunniest and most blessed person I have ever known, despite hardships he has suffered. So for some people, gratitude seems to come so easily, as if they were throwbacks to a mysterious time.

But for others, it can be challenging. Especially when much of what I research and write about – that information which I have always felt is incredibly important to pass on, to whoever is listening out there in these uncertain times – is so seemingly full of doom. It would be easy to say I never experience feelings of foreboding, or great sadness, as I bear witness to the daily news. I do. And yet, in the next moment, I am reminded that we still have an opportunity to recreate our world, one person at a time, or suddenly, as the case may be in terms of our future. Destruction is a Pathway to Creation. I often link back to that old post I wrote, It’s All Good, because – it really is.

A friend asked me the other day, as we were talking about emergency supplies, why I would want to survive if the world was ending. I thought, that was a very good question. But if you ask, I’ll tell you; I don’t believe in the end of the world. Maybe, “the end of the world as we know it”, but that’s not the end of the planet, or even our existence as a species, and on this point I stand firm. If the “worst” happens, I don’t imagine only surviving, but thriving. I see opportunity, not doom. This is the message I hope to pass on, even as the news of the day seems to center around the negative.

Yes, it’s possible that earth changes or economic upheaval could come to your town, and ours. And yes, I am concerned that people are woefully unprepared for this transition. And it is never easy to witness terrible destruction and loss of life and livelihood. But, it doesn’t stop me from being hopeful, or prepared for a better future, both physically and spiritually. I suppose, I don’t have proof; it’s just my own inner barometer of what I believe is possible for our world. And I might not have that appreciation, if I were not aware of what it means to be truly grateful for the incredible diversity of wonder and possibility, and the love and joy which is sitting right here in front of us, waiting to be chosen. But we cannot expect to participate in such a future world, if we don’t prepare ourselves now. Yes, have extra provisions nearby…but as important is our psychological, emotional and spiritual state of readiness. We can’t get to the next level in a state of panic, fear, or even doubt.

And we cannot do this alone. In Hawaii, when surfing the huge 50-75 ft waves on the North Shore, Oahu and at Jaws on Maui, you need someone to tow you in on a jet ski; to watch over you, and rescue you if you get pummeled. Fortunately there are others out there to share support and wisdom in trying times, each with their own specialties. I am fortunate enough to have a profound faith, a loving family, and an extended network of like minds. This post is the result of encouragement from friend and fellow blogger, Daniel Brenton, whose work continues to uplift and inspire, even in trying times. So I give credit to Daniel for recharging my gratitude batteries, and my thanks for his long-standing support in this strange online world. It’s nice to know there are real people out there, practicing real, useful and tangible skills, and I am happy to pay it forward.

If we really were surfing a swiftly tilting planet, I’d say the waves are looming large. Since my last post in January, we’ve witnessed the horrific earthquake, tsunami and ongoing nuclear meltdown in Japan, historic ongoing flooding along the Mississippi, the northern US, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Africa to mention a few, severe ongoing drought and wildfires in Texas, Europe, China and Africa, and another deadly earthquake, this time in Spain. Bizarre cracks, fissures, sinkholes, sinking islands, and landslides are appearing in various places around the globe. More volcanoes erupted including another one in Iceland, again disrupting air travel. Unexplained bird and fish deaths are still happening all over the place. Tonight, news of 100 mph winds in Scotland. Australian television aired “100 days of Disaster” awhile ago about 2011 so far – pretty incredible, but it needs an update already.

Ok, maybe this kind of thing is “cyclical” but then I think it must be a very, very, very big cycle. How about 12,900 years? Science has no way to compare this kind of historical data, in my opinion. Obviously the mainstream will continue to refuse to publicize anything other than “normality” but even a climate scientist quoted in Scientific American said, “It’s a new normal and I really do think that global weirding is the best way to describe what we’re seeing.” Really?

An article from May 13 was titled, Tornadoes, floods and blizzards… U.S. is hit by a record FIVE billion-dollar weather disasters in 2011 (and it’s only May). Wonder what it is now after the unbelievable tornado storm that has hit so many US states this past week. There was even a “rare” tornado in California yesterday. As I’m writing this, there is a tornado warning in Vermont. Dr. Greg Forbes from the Weather Channel actually called the system “rare” on the air and added that we don’t normally see a supercell formation 40,000 feet high with large hail and tornadoes in Vermont. Ya think? The other night on CNN, the meteorologist pointed out the powerful counter-clockwise moving storm system that caused the week of mayhem and said it almost looked like a hurricane. In fact it did; some Youtubers and bloggers have been pointing out this “landocane” or “landicane” all week – and I found, it’s not the first time. Back in October, this new term even found its way onto mainstream news sites during that giant storm. It reminds me of a video I watched recently of a talk by former Special Forces officer John Moore, who claims to have been privy to some secret government warnings from back in the ’70s about a violent, catastrophic global shift that is to come – soon. Very soon. He’s in his sixties, and he was told it would be in his lifetime, not his kids or grandkids. In that video, he said that one of the warnings he was told to look for was hurricanes forming over land. It makes me think of The Coming Global Superstorm or The Day After Tomorrow.

As I watch the weather radars, and there are plenty of radars to watch on the Internet, it’s hard not to notice strange ring signatures, beams and other anomalies appearing ahead of the storm tracks. (Radars to watch: here, here, here, here and here for a few to start you off. Please leave links to others you find.) For instance, check out this incredible video from today over Kansas. Is it HAARP? No one knows for sure. Youtubers Dutchsinse, Patrioticspace, WaronErrorDKos, Rvermill47 and many others are continually watching and updating on these and other notable details such as radiation and chemtrails which the mainstream is not talking about. In fact as I was writing this, Dutchsinse uploaded a new video letting us know that someone alerted their Congressman about these apparent weather modification anomalies. We’d like to think – great, maybe someone will do something about it but – likely as not, we will never hear any reply. If we do, I’ll let you know (follow me on Twitter). Poor Dutch has already been harassed and threatened, had family members threatened for his work by someone claiming to work for DARPA if memory serves, and I think he had to call the FBI. It’s scary to think if you’re making note of such things you might be putting your life – and your family’s lives – on the line. Here is an article about Dutch and what he’s been doing in terms of getting the word out. A St. Louis local news station even did a spot on his independent radiation testing recently as well.

I also happened to notice this strange happening on Lake Washington a little while ago, which nagged at me for a few days until I remembered the X-Band sea-based radar had just arrived in Seattle the night before. A pretty powerful piece of machinery I wrote about back in 2008; who knows what all it really does. In that vein, I also happened across this Youtuber following the track of the super-secret X37B and the coincidence of earthquakes in its wake. Plenty of people are also still waiting for The Big One to hit the US; the New Madrid seismic zone is likely under enormous pressure with the weight of all that flood water there now. And we haven’t even started hurricane season yet.

Last year an Italian scientist, Dr. Gianluigi Zangari, released a paper that the Gulf Stream has broken – at the time it was thought it was due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf. I can’t find the original paper; the link is broken (which seems appropriate somehow). But here is one detailed explanation. Of course that influences the Jet stream and we can all see how that has been very unusual the past few months, if not longer. Dutchsinse posted this video in December 2010, noting how the weather systems were moving backwards. And it is still happening. Do your own research, and watch the radars. The Weather Channel certainly isn’t boring anymore. It’s all really very interesting; the frustrating part is, we can speculate all we want, but we may never know what is really going on. Planet X? Weather wars? HAARP? False flag? Climate change? Are the powers-that-be trying to keep a catastrophe from happening, or the opposite? Maybe it doesn’t really matter. We need to be prepared regardless. Obviously, the results are disastrous anyway.

Comet Elenin has been in the underground news quite a lot as well. Some believe it’s not a comet at all, but a brown dwarf star (Planet X?) which makes a regular swing through our galactic neighborhood every few millennia. It would explain why it is so difficult to see even through telescopes, as it is very cold (but if we start seeing two suns this summer, something in the news as I wrote my last post, heads up). This video is quite startling, as it points out the last few megaquakes (Chili, New Zealand and Japan) were on days of Elenin’s alignment with the Earth. Recently, a scientific paper from the European Royal Society was published that also mentioned Elenin in regards to earthquakes and celestial alignments. Apparently its effects are not insignificant (including, I might posit, the weather). And there are further alignments coming as the “comet” is getting closer – later this year, in late September through October, it will be extremely close – in fact some people think that around September 26-27, it could cause a pole shift here on Earth. In October/November the earth will be in its tail, which is also not good. Here is another very informative video on what could be coming later this year. Please take the time to watch these and inform yourself, whatever you tend to believe. Last October, the White House released a memorandum regarding preparations for a near-earth object collision. That in itself is pretty noteworthy. There has also been rumor that due to unexpected course changes in the comet’s trajectory and strange unidentified clusters following the comet, a Chinese scientist believes it may be guided by intelligent forces, i.e., UFOs. Something to pay attention to in terms of Sitchin’s Nibiru. And don’t forget about the sun; it’s 11-year cycle peaks in 2012, and we are still getting warnings of “potentially devastating effects” from official sources. Keep an eye on it. Spaceweather, SOHO, and SolarWatcher are recommended sites.

I thought it quite interesting to find this video clip of an old In Search Of episode from 1978 stating the Mayan calendar end date was December 24, 2011 – not December 21, 2012. If you read more of my blog you’ll see I’m not one for setting dates but, just found it worth noting. What if 2012 was a red herring, and we were all left woefully unprepared?

So, please be prepared for anything, anytime. I’ve read quite a few articles recently about demand for bunkers, shelters and dried emergency food going through the roof this year. Some companies are even running out of supplies. People are prepping. It’s a good thing. If you’ve been putting it off, do it NOW. Put some emergency gear in your car – extra water, food bars, first aid, flashlight, radio, jacket and walking shoes – really, girlfriends, please have a change of shoes in your trunk if you wear high heels. Have a whistle to call for help just in case. Have extra supplies at home too. A few months of food, and a water filter or two, wouldn’t be a bad idea; we might be prepared for food shortages and economic catastrophe as well that way, if nothing else happens. Have a place to go if the worst seems to be coming to your door. Have an emergency plan with family or friends. And think about self defense. Even the CDC warned about zombies. But really. Protect yourselves from whatever.

Standing outside tonight, waiting for my dogs to pee and watching the glittering Kona night sky, I did a double take at a star moving in the southeastern sky. I watched it for about a minute….it was very bright, moving relatively quickly, but not so fast as a shooting star, and had no tail; it had a downward sloping arc, and as it moved it faded out into the black. Satellite?

As I have repeated again and again – this information is not posted to create fear. There is already enough of that out there. And I would be pleased as punch if the next couple of years went by without another catastrophe. But I don’t think so. And being aware and prepared is the best way to avoid panic. Knowledge is power. Please find some time to center on what is most important to our existence on this planet – love, and compassion. Lean on your higher power, your loved ones and your own Knowing of what is right and true. Remember that destruction is an opportunity for creation. Discernment is an opportunity for growth. To move forward, we must, indeed we really must, work together, peaceably, and in harmony. I will be writing more about this soon.

Allow things to be as they are without troubling your peace of mind. Everything is as meant to be. No matter how bad or chaotic things seem – it’s all good, and it’s all in control.

In the synchronous sequence of events that are unfolding, there are no accidents; there are no coincidences. React with thoughtfulness, brevity, calmness, righteousness and love when a situation presents itself. Practice to leave anger, fear, worry, anxiety, violence and frustration behind. Letting go of attachment means learning how to not react with negative emotion. Surf the Tao. Allow life to carry you, without perpetuating dissonance. It is a difficult but imperative skill, and a delicate balance.

Some things which seem bad, hurtful or unfair – even all seemingly great underlying evils – will be used in the creation of something new; something wholly without these negative distractions. As if all negativities we currently experience are being crystallized in clear structure now, in order to be sorted out for the great shattering to come. Destruction often necessarily precedes creation. So, be informed, yet be at peace.

It could mean our existence in the coming years will become more and more difficult, as the noose continues to tighten.

It could mean it’s all an illusion and we would slip silently and gloriously into the next resonant octave.

Prepare your home and family; prepare your inner self. This is being a true warrior. Stand strong within and without. Do not fear physical death, and don’t fall victim to the lies. This kind of faith takes practice, as we are so conditioned to fear.

I’ve continued to follow news and events (follow my occasional links at Twitter) though the need to comment seems less and less pressing. By now the fundamental truths have become obvious to those with ears to hear. Those things which cause confusion and ripples in the sea of serenity are working against the flow. Pay attention. Truth is simple.

I continue to work towards inner and outer preparations myself. Often there is no one right answer, aside from love.

Yesterday, the British government released some of its heretofore top secret files on UFO sightings, just hours after the Vatican surprisingly announced, “belief in God and aliens is OK.” Today, Russian Muslims and Jews admit existence of UFO-people. Also yesterday, NASA announced the discovery of an object in our Galaxy astronomers had been searching for for 50 years.

Maybe it’s just the season for it. On May 11, 2001, The Disclosure Project announced the National Press Club event on the subject. Mexico held their international press conference to release their UFO sightings files on May 11, in 2004. “On May 11, 1962 NASA pilot Joseph Walker said that one of his tasks was to detect UFOs during his X-15 flights.” Two of the most notorious UFO photos of all time were taken on a farm in Oregon on May 11, 1950. OK, I know it’s not May 11, but we’re not far off. Interesting to note anyway.

Britain is not the first country to release some of their x-files. France released some of theirs in March, 2007. Of course Mexico back in 2004. Brazil in 2005 (May 20, by the way). Canada, Spain, Chile and Peru have also released theirs, but according to that article, and point well made, information on ‘sightings’ doesn’t necessarily equate to coming out and saying, yes, there are aliens, and here they are.

This article so aptly asks, “what do Britain’s ‘X Files’ tell us, and why have they been released now?” Maybe some kind of imminent and inevitable contact is in the works and they’re trying to acclimate us to the idea. Or, they just can’t hide it anymore. Or, these governments are all in cahoots to completely deceive us all, masterminding some kind of worldwide deception, a la Project Bluebeam, to consolidate power and hypnotize us for awhile longer yet, so that we don’t notice all the other possibilities around us, like escape to a higher dimension, for example. The religious question always comes to mind, which is why it’s interesting to note when the Vatican noses in on UFO questions, as it has done before. Religion has been used as a way to control and conform, and certainly the Catholic Church is keen enough to keep a hold onto theirs, so their participation in this manipulation is not surprising. If something is coming and they know it (and you can be sure, they would know), they are going to want to be in on it all from the get-go. Many people have theorized about aliens in the Bible, suspicious entities behind the New Age movement, ancient genetic engineering, and interspecies warfare. Contact will change everything we think we know both in terms of history, science and technology, not to mention politics and religion. It’s a very delicate subject that might need to be reinterpreted for the next era, if the present powers want to play a role.

So, if the aliens do finally land on the White House lawn, who is ultimately responsible for helping us believe this is a good thing? Whose agenda would this be serving? Should we be paying attention to the fact that these things might be happening just before a much-anticipated theorized shift in consciousness in 2012? Does the timing have anything to do with Planet X, global warming, world war or some other kind of potential global catastrophe? Should we trust our government if they support our new space brothers? Should we be wary if they don’t?

In the UK, there has been a huge rise in UFO sightings. Russia is building a UFO center for sightings, research and observation. ABC News reported that Arizona firefighters are being trained for UFO and alien contact. A couple of months ago, rumors suggested the UN had been involved in secret meetings regarding the issue, according to sources alleged by Exopolitics Institute’s Dr. Michael E. Salla. This meeting was corroborated by a French aviator involved in the talks, and then later had to be clarified as sources were withdrawn. Perhaps it is as Dr. Salla had previously noted, as well as Dr. Greer of the Disclosure Project, that divulging the truth of alien visitations might also unveil the truth about alternate energy sources, which the current powers-that-be don’t want for obvious reasons.

UFO disclosure doesn’t make me giddy. It makes me very serious, concerned and thoughtful. Once one gets past the idea that there are such entities, one quickly finds talk of the many alien races. If that is the case there are likely many different agendas, possibly varying philosophies, capabilities and wisdom, and they might not all be love, peace and harmony.

If they did seem loving, peaceful and helpful, that would be great; I’d like to hear them tell us about the latent and inherent powers we all possess, as spiritual beings, to rise above our present condition. These are truths referred to by our greatest spiritual sages, and ones I’ve experienced firsthand. Therefore, I wouldn’t want to see them set themselves up as the new powers-that-be. We don’t need an alien messiah bringing another round of brainwashing.

On the other hand, I will accept there may be some good guys out there. Who knows if they’re interplanetary or interdimensional – or even both. They may indeed arrive to remind us of peace and love. Perhaps they might even teach us some interesting science and technology that could better our world. But certainly not if it demands our reverence or worship, or an even further consolidation of our world’s elite power structure. The subject is so enormously complicated and full of implications we haven’t thought of yet, we all need to be extremely careful what bandwagon we jump on.

Going back to Stephen Hawking; let’s not assume anything. If there are aliens and they do make their presence known, let’s not rush into anything. Be discerning. Be wise, thoughtful and balanced. Be open-minded, but not gullible. Ask the right questions. Even if they tempt us with radical free energy devices or world peace; be forewarned. Things may not always be as they seem. Remember to ask, whether they are here to serve man, or serve man for dinner.

We lost our special, darling boy today. Words cannot describe how wonderful and important this dog has been to our family, and he will be missed so intensely.

Everyone thinks their dog is the most special, and indeed that is how it should be. But let me just tell you a few short stories about Bodhi, what a uniquely blessed life he led, and how much he touched us all.

As a puppy, according to multiple witnesses, he used to talk in his sleep – clearly, and in English. After I knew him I heard him say, “I love you” – I could hardly believe my ears.

He never barked unless he was asked to speak, he never growled, and he never bit anyone, not even other dogs who bit him. That is truly amazing, particularly since many people think pit bulls are naturally aggressive.

The only other time he is known to have barked without command was when the house was on fire. He saved everyone, including the house.

He is the only dog ever allowed on Alcatraz. My husband put it in his contract when he worked on a movie there.

He was the only dog ever to be allowed out of his cage to play when he was in quarantine in Hawaii.

He is the only dog to be allowed to hang out behind the reception desk at the vet’s office.

He could climb trees, fetch the newspaper, pull us on rollerblades, and loved to chase kites high up in the air. He snuggled with kittens, bunnies, parakeets, and even our boa constrictor. They all adored him.

He was the center of our lives for so many years, the calm and gentle, happy spirit who only knew unconditional love and affection. He never left my husband’s side for many of them, traveling with him and snuggling with him every possible second.

We will miss you, Bodhi our friend, but we know you are now running, jumping and flying through green pastures with open blue skies, playing with our other old friends, with that big grin on your face again.

If ever there was an enlightened being in a dog’s body, it was Bodhi, whose name truly did justice to his loving and compassionate nature.

Save a place for us; heaven wouldn’t be heaven without you.
