My last post, Spirals, Stargates, and Suspicious Sneaky-A** Strangeness, is dated exactly one year ago today, I just happened to notice. And it still pretty much says what I’ve been thinking the past 12 months. 2010 saw plenty of calamity, from earthquakes and storms, to oil spills and economic and political malfunction. 2011 has already given us a continuous stream of unusual news that may or may not portend some great changes are in store for our near future. But the task of connecting the dots, of putting together the puzzle of headlines into a complete understanding of what is really happening, is challenging. Can you see the fnord in the empty spaces between all these memes? Everything is connected in some way, of course, but are these various unusual news items part of a larger scenario, the whole truth of which we are not completely aware?

The 2012 Mayan calendar end date has had many talking not just about Apocalyptic scenarios, but a shift in consciousness, and I do believe this is already beginning to happen – at least for those paying attention. Despite my unwillingness to jump on the bandwagon of setting dates for an Apocalypse, I don’t completely disregard them either. Sometimes the force of so many psyches focused so intensely can make things happen. So I just want to reiterate that my work has always been about increasing awareness, so that when and if big changes do happen, people won’t be caught off guard. If we were prepared spiritually, psychologically, emotionally and even physically for whatever comes, there should be absolutely no need for fear or panic. And we should all be doing what we can anyway to make our world a better place, and our lives more harmonious. Going local, working together and treating each other with kindness and compassion is a great place to start, no matter where you are or how much money you have, apocalypse or no apocalypse.

Unfortunately it is clear that there will still be some very hard times for many people around the world. These days all you have to do is read the news or even look outside your door to see bizarre headlines, strange weather, unprecedented disasters or hear neighbors screaming political self-righteousness at each other. The world is koyaanisqatsi, in more ways than one, and it could get worse before it gets better. Be ready for change, pay attention, and tune in your personal discernment to determine what it could all mean, both to you and in the larger scheme. Here are some of the things I’m paying attention to.

Nearly two years ago I wrote the post 2012: A Perfect Storm? In it, I outlined some of the concerns about the 2012 solar maximum, about which we are still being warned. As far back as 2006, NASA issued an official warning that 2012 would also be “the most intense solar maximum in fifty years”. In 2010, we were again given “dire warnings” both from the U.S. and the U.K. that solar flares (or nuclear or electromagnetic attacks) could disrupt power and communications for months or even years. It’s been unusually quiet the past few years. Does that mean we’re in the set-up for a really gigantic storm, timed just right about when the Mayans might have said it would? The fact that scientists are out there warning us about this is good reason to read up on our sun, and pay attention to the news about it. To check on the sun’s daily activity, you can go to SpaceWeather.com or this site, used by ham radio operators.

A related topic also in the news is the earth’s magnetic field, which is created by currents in the earth’s core. The poles – not the geographic north and south pole, but the magnetic poles – are moving more quickly than they have been since we started recording their locations in 1590. National Geographic has been covering the story for the past few years: in 2004, Earth’s Magnetic Field is Fading (the disaster movie The Core picked up on this, check it out). In 2008, their article Earth’s Core, Magnetic Field Changing Fast is notable because one of the geophysicists was quoted as saying, “What is so surprising is that rapid, almost sudden, changes take place in the Earth’s magnetic field.” And then in 2009, North Magnetic Pole Moving Due to Core Flux. So when you see mainstream headlines early this year talking about the speeding up of this magnetic shift, so much so that at least one airport has had to redraw its runways and controversial Zodiac sign changes and the (re?) addition of Ophiuchus had many people regretting their tattoos, it’s time to perk up. Some suggest we are indeed in the midst of a magnetic polar reversal, which may or may not be part of a process that culminates in a final, sudden and potentially calamitous global event. Mainstream science insists these changes takes hundreds or thousands of years to complete, but we also know there have been at least a few sudden, worldwide extinctions. This site will start to explain some of the alternative sources which may lead us to consider the possibility of a more abrupt and drastic event. You might also be interested to read up on controversial cataclysmic [geographic] pole shift theories.

A telling indicator of magnetic changes is our earth’s magnetosphere, which is created when the earth’s magnetic field interacts with charged particles, such as the solar wind. It protects the earth from deadly solar radiation and without it, life on our planet would not be possible. Normally it is shaped like a teardrop, with the tail end blowing away from the sun. During times of polar reversals, it gets tangled and twisted. I found a site which posts real-time simulated images of the Earth’s magnetosphere. When you look at a video of recent images, it does look like it is twisting and tangling, which scientists say is a sign that a reversal could be underway. It reminds me of a few past articles, including Giant Breach in Earth’s Magnetic Field Discovered. Also, remember the Danish study from 2009 which concluded that the earth’s magnetic field impacts our climate.

Are the magnetic field changes related to the other unusual news, the sudden and unexplained deaths of thousands of birds, fish and other animals continuing to happen worldwide? Maybe. But seems to me they might then just get lost – not die from “massive trauma”. Other speculations have included some sort of man made electromagnetic cause for this “aflockalypse”. If you don’t know about HAARP yet, it might be time to go down that rabbit hole. It’s a giant ionospheric heater, which the government claims is a harmless academic project, but others suspect has scary military applications and potentially dangerous effects on our planet. There are rumored to be HAARP installations in many of the areas where these unexplained animal deaths are occurring worldwide, including Arkansas, which also happens to be on the New Madrid faultline. In 1811, almost exactly 200 years ago, there were several huge earthquakes there in the mid-section of the U.S., and scientists believe it could happen again any time. Mike over at Patrioticspace points out on this video that an upcoming FEMA training drill (NLE 2011) is being planned for that area this coming May to prepare for such an event. Over the years there has been suspicion about the “coincidences” surrounding the timing of FEMA’s (and other governments) “drills” and subsequent disasters – 9/11, Katrina, the Haiti earthquake and 7/7, for some examples. Seems like they just happen to be there when stuff happens, which is strange in itself. So some people – including Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez by the way – believe that our government, and perhaps others as well, is deliberately causing some of these events using technologies like HAARP. It’s also possible they are using such technologies to try to prevent something big they know is coming. (By the way, talk about unexplained – ever heard of the Dyatlov Pass incident? Wonder what Tesla might say about all this…)

Either way it’s probably not good to be fooling with Mother Nature, especially on a scale involving the earth’s ionosphere. Many have likely already seen the article published in 1998 by the Russian scientist Dr. Alexey N. Dmitriev called Planetophysical State Of The Earth And Life which talks about the Earth’s ongoing magnetic changes being irreversible. In it he mentions man-made effects, “Earth’s ability to adapt to these external actions and transferences is aggravated, made more difficult, by the technogeneous alterations we have made to the natural quality or state of our geological-geophysical environment. Our planet Earth is now in the process of a dramatic transformation by altering the electromagnetic skeleton through a shift of the geomagnetic field poles…”

It’s not clear which technogeneous effects he is referring to, but when you’re talking about magnetic fields, HAARP sure comes to mind. Even if they accidentally caused all those birds to die trying to prevent the huge earthquake there we all know is coming one of these days, would they tell the public? Probably not. By the way, in investigating the New Madrid earthquake potential I came across this FEMA procurement site post from January 20, 2011, “The purpose of this Request for Information is to identify sources of supply for meals in support of disaster relief efforts based on a catastrophic disaster event within the New Madrid Fault System for a survivor population of 7M to be utilized for the sustainment of life during a 10-day period of operations…All meals/kits must have 36 months of remaining shelf life upon delivery.“ Why would they requisition that much food if NLE 2011 is only a drill? Patrioticspace has a great update on all of this that is worth watching, and he suspects the geophysical instability in the region could have been made worse by last year’s Gulf oil spill/drill. In coordination with NLE 2011, the authorities are also planning “The Great Central U.S. Shake Out” to help citizens get prepare for earthquakes. So if you live in the New Madrid seismic zone (or any earthquake zone for that matter), you might want to get your earthquake kit ready, just in case.

Then there’s the weird debate lately that something seems wrong with the moon, that it has tilted. Not really sure about that one but it seems to fit with the general sense that things seem out of balance. Searing summers and frigid winters break records every year, gigantic earthquakes kill hundreds of thousands, and unbelievable floods and storms all over the world round it all out to the extent that many people are not even shocked or surprised by natural disasters anymore, even though 2010 was the worst year yet. Disaster has become the status quo – that is perhaps until ARkstorm, for which by the way they are also planning a disaster training drill.

Another strange item to consider is the report that the sun rose two days early in Greenland this year – on 1/11/11, instead of 1/13/11 as expected. A little more investigation revealed some controversy there. Mainstream science, as in this article, says this is impossible, because it would mean the earth-sun orbital parameters have changed and they insist, this has not happened. But in the linked article, Ice Ages Blamed on Tilting Earth, we learn that the tilt, or wobble, of our planet has changed throughout the ages. A little more investigation reveals that the earthquake/tsunami of 2004 actually changed the planet’s shape, and shaved a few microseconds off our day. The earthquake in Chile altered our earth’s rotation, and took a few more tiny moments from us. So, official data notwithstanding, it might not be that far off to imagine, something could change, has changed, or is even changing rapidly, with our earth, it’s magnetic field, rotation and/or tilt.

The world’s volcanoes are getting busier and busier as well. Last year Der Spiegel published an article warning of an impending mega-eruption of Indonesia’s Mount Merapi. Recently another disconcerting piece of news about the Yellowstone supervolcano bulging, as the magma chamber there continues to swell. When physicist Michio Kaku is out and about talking about pending catastrophes, as he has done before warning about monster solar storms, I pay attention; recently he discussed massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions which could destroy any one of several major cities in the near future. Even more recently, here he is talking specifically about the recent bulge at Yellowstone. Interesting timing.

Does any of this have to do with “Planet X” (which I actually believe, if it exists, is not a planet but actually a star, perhaps even a companion to our sun)? You can find all kinds of information on the ancient myth and lore of this enigmatic “lost” star or planet and the destruction it brings as it swings through our solar system, though it is not accepted by mainstream science, at least as far as we know. But let’s face it – would you tell 6 billion people that the earth was about to be rocked upside down overnight a week from Thursday? Probably not. So, just because it’s debunked and ignored by the mainstream doesn’t mean that a large perturber blowing by every few millennia isn’t the reason for all the magnetic weirdness, earthquakes and volcanoes. Every now and then I come across articles that ring a bell for Planet X. Giant Stealth Planet May Explain Rain of Comets from Solar System’s Edge is not comforting news in light of the huge meteorites seen around the world lately. How about this one, “A new set of all-sky maps from NASA’s Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) shows that conditions at the edge of our Solar System are more dynamic than first thought.” Ya think?

Knowing this, I definitely perked up when I heard in the mainstream news that we could be seeing what look like two suns in our skies for a while, if the red giant Betelgeuse goes supernova. But even though shock-value headlines declare this as a possibility by 2012, perhaps feeding into the Mayan calendar end date hysteria, in reality it could happen anytime in the next thousand(s) years, which led some to suggest it could be a cover story for Planet X. Space.com (and others) pretty much debunked the idea that Betelgeuse would go supernova anytime soon, true or not. So it is interesting that some mainstream sources seemed happy enough to run with the story again even though it already kinda made news and was also debunked a few months ago as a result of a discussion on a forum. Maybe someone out there knows what’s really going on, and wants to give us an “acceptable” explanation for something that might cause worldwide panic otherwise, and this seemed like a pretty good one. Or, maybe we really do have something to worry about – here is a scary take on it at Rense from back in 2009.

Or, maybe they’re just creating buzz for Beetlejuice II.

Betelgeuse, one of the brightest stars we know of, is a red giant in Orion, which is notable in terms of Planet X theories because the lore warns about seeing a red object in the sky coming from the direction of Orion. Scientists seem to have a hard time measuring both its size and distance – it seems to bulge and vary in brightness, and researchers believe “it it is likely that Betelgeuse has not always had its current motion through space and has changed course at one time or another…” So, intriguing, but certainly not a sure thing in terms of Planet X. The famous Washington Post article from 1983 quoted by many including myself in Planet X discussions did say an object in question was found in the neighborhood of Orion, but it certainly wasn’t a red giant they found. That was a brown dwarf, a type of star which is so dim its distance is difficult to establish, and even to detect in the first place. (Did you know the mythology about Orion and Ophiuchus by the way?) One other note I found interesting on Wiki, “In August Derleth’s short story “The Dweller in the Darkness” set in H.P. Lovecrafts’s Cthulhu Mythos, Betelgeuse is the home of the ‘benign’ Elder Gods.” Well how about that. Nibiru anyone? Wonder what Zecharia Sitchin would say about that if he was still around.

The idea of seeing two suns is not a new one, even aside from Star Wars mystique. I found an old thread on ATS talking about this back in 2007. I got chills when I was reminded of Share International’s press release regarding the timing of Maitreya’s appearance, “In the very near future a large, bright star will appear in the sky visible to all throughout the world – night and day.” Beetlejuice indeed. Or how about this prophetic warning from the “Blessed Mother” in 2008 about two suns? Cheery. Here is a website with a bunch of people dreaming about two suns and talking about various prophecies. Here is one of likely many Biblical takes on it. How about another completely different interpretation from Goro Adachi from back in 2000? Nostradamus of course (see top), despite the difficulty in interpretation. The Kolbrin Bible people have a lot of interesting information out. Many have filmed what they believe looks like two suns in our skies and posted on YouTube. According to this site, the Freemasons are no strangers to the two suns theme in their writings and symbologies. Andy Lloyd wrote about the two suns of the Incas in terms of his Dark Star theory. Velikovsky of course with his Worlds in Collision. And I’m sure there are many more.

So, the sun is set to be dangerously active in the next year or two, and our magnetic field is shifting so quickly, many believe we are in the middle of a polar reversal. That means the normal protection we have from the sun could be unreliable. Those two things should be considered in tandem, for it does not bode well, whether you suspect Planet X or not. But if we actually do start seeing two suns, it might be time to start connecting the dots. One other thought; if a big quake rocks the New Madrid fault, what effect might it have on Yellowstone, or vice versa?

I think the powers-that-be are perfectly aware of what could be coming. That’s why there are hundreds (or thousands) of underground corporate, government, and military bunkers all over the world, and why they are saving documents, seeds and establishing continuity of government procedures. And why we are being kept busy with the misery of political hotbeds and economic meltdown: pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. And why we’re being entertained with so many disaster movies: see, this is fiction, it couldn’t happen; or, see, you should be aware, this could happen, but we’re not going to tell you.

And it could. I found an interesting post at Montalk, who doesn’t post very often anymore either, that the mention of neutrinos in the Betelgeuse/two suns thing in the news recently might not be the good news scientists are hoping for; he suggests it could actually be a problem similar to that which was fictionalized in the movie 2012. Well, huh. Anything to do with this mystery particle? Food for thought.

With the dawn of 2011, the 2012 Mayan calendar end date looms tantalizingly – or frighteningly, depending on your perspective – within reach. Whether December 22, 2012 will be just another day, or whether we will be in the midst of global cataclysm remains to be seen (unless you’re Harold Camping, who used the Bible to predict the end of the world for October 21, 2011 – and Judgment Day for May 21, 2011, interesting if only for its confluence with the New Madrid FEMA drill).

I am not alone in my suspicions that there is a lot going on behind the scenes, veiled in secrecy as it perhaps always has been. Suspicious global cabals have been the subject of many of my own articles as well as thousands of others across the Internet and in book stores. A surprising recent article in The Economist attempted to casually “out” these organizations and call them harmless, though their too-little-too-late explanation was far less entertaining than the comments posted. I will certainly be paying attention to the ongoing revolution in the Middle East, the timing of which is also of note. Is it truly a grass-roots movement for freedom? As Americans, we naturally welcome democratization and support the people’s choice, and mourn those killed or injured in the fight for liberty. But if we are aware of the powers-that-be and their agendas, we might also not be surprised to hear this report from RT, which suggests otherwise, citing Wikileaks. Is this another move towards “totalitarian democracy” as suggested by William Engdahl? Could democracy in these Arab countries, whose public opinion is heavily anti-Israel and anti-U.S., actually lead to increased tensions? Whether the global elite stand to benefit from this at all, or whether it could blow up in everyone’s faces, remains to be seen.

We know there are things that we know, things that we don’t know, and things that we don’t know we don’t know. So, perhaps there are some who know those things that we don’t know that we don’t know, George Lucas notwithstanding. And what would they do with this knowledge? A lot of debunking for one thing. Can’t have a society of panicked people all quitting their jobs and moving to a cabin in the woods with their hunting rifles and an assortment of seeds. Civilization – I should say, their high-tech, low-love version of civilization anyway – would fade away and then they’d lose their power. And clearly if we all knew what we didn’t know we didn’t know, the powers-that-be wouldn’t be so powerful anymore. No one would fight in their wars, and we’d never need to buy gasoline or pharmaceuticals, for example.

And as many prepare for and debate the topic of disclosure, we are also bombarded with TV shows and films about alien invasion of one sort or another. Other than Wikileaks, the latest UFO rumors are that the U.S. is set to announce their ongoing relationship with extraterrestrials in a kind of E.T.-space-race with the Chinese. Or maybe “They” are here to help us deal with the chaos of this coming shift…or take advantage of it, as the case may be. Trouble is, hard for most people to distinguish truth from non truth. And sometimes people just don’t want to know. They would rather be right. For those aware of Biblical End Times prophecies which supposedly necessitate the rebuilding of the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem where the Dome of the Rock currently stands, you might be interested to know that recently several videos surfaced of a strange light hovering right over the Dome on January 28, 2011. This one was pretty wild. Is it real?

If there are things we don’t know that we don’t know, maybe it’s also true that there are things that we don’t know that we do know. I believe many people are subconsciously attuned to some kind of internal messaging system. If they are listening, many of them are going back to basics, learning skills not used for generations, thinking locally and sustainably. Perhaps they are also preparing for something – perhaps they might not really know why, or for when, or if they do maybe they might not really believe anything big like that could possibly happen to them – but they do it anyway. Maybe they also are beginning to realize that our civilization can only really survive if people learn to live in harmony with each other and the planet, and that that will have to happen regardless of whether or not there is an Apocalypse. There seems to be a low, rumbling wave of change, growth and understanding rising from the ashes that have not even fallen yet.

Sometimes, unknown knowledge sits at the very root of our existence on planet Earth. Perhaps the Earth gives a little wobble now and then to remind us what we’re supposed to know.

To change the world as a Surfer of the Tao is to ride light energy and heavy energy simultaneously; as one lifts up, the other presses down, and that resistance gives us the impetus to project ourselves forward, like squeezing a watermelon pit between your fingers and shooting it.

We can use technology to learn and survive, even as it is destroying us. We can use what we don’t know to fill in the empty spaces. We can use destruction as an opportunity to create anew.

Life is not in iPods, 3D movies, video games, cell phone apps, or on television. It’s not in the way we argue, accuse, and hate. Life is not anger, cruelty and division. Life is not harshness of tone, unwillingness to forgive, intolerance, or lack of understanding. Life is not rote knowledge, or trivia.

Life is in the trees, the flowers, rocks, sky and clouds. It’s in the depths of our souls, our atoms, our breath. It’s in the way we love, smile and laugh. Life is forgiveness, compassion and service, generosity of spirit and selfless creativity. Life is the Knowledge and Appreciation of Life.

Some are finding their way back to Life. Some never left in the first place. Many have a long, long ways to go. Some will never even see there is a Way of Life.

Some easily find knowledge in a blade of grass; others must first fight and struggle their entire lives only to discover in their dying breath how simple it all really is.

Be well my friends. Be in the Know, be safe, be prepared, be open and clear.

‘Food security’ is a phrase one hears more often these days. When mainstream news or government sources discuss the topic, it’s generally in terms of subsidies for big ag, testing GMOs in Africa, tighter ‘safety’ controls on food production – clearly it is within the Oligarchy’s intent to control the world’s food, and they do it in the name of ‘saving’ us but in reality…well, if you’re here reading this, you know what’s really going on.

How simple to provide everyone their daily bread, in the form of federally regulated, poisonous, addictive, mass-produced, cheap and accessible goodies. We have already forgotten our grandparent’s knowledge of the land. We are too busy with chips and sodas, iPods and Idols to care about such fuddy-duddy things. We figure we won out, no longer isolated on a dirty, back-breaking farm, but free to roam the brightly-colored plastic prisons of our future. The entire scheme was brilliant, really, and took only about 50 years. Amazing how quickly – and happily – we forget.

Slowly, though, the pendulum is beginning to swing back, whether due to a rediscovered consciousness and respect for the land, or a lingering vision of a post-apocalyptic nightmare complete with marauding bands of cannibal zombies. Food security is something families and communities are beginning to rethink, at the local level. Down here in the trenches, is is dawning on many more people how unbalanced our present high-industrial, corporate system has become. It is fragile, because if for whatever reason any link in that mega-chain fails, millions of people will find their only source of food – grocery stores – empty. It is also toxic on multiple levels, from the chemical-laden, land-scorching, seed-stealing, slaughterhouse-nightmare production practices, to the preservative-laden, neurotransmitter-deadening, nutrition-parched, Frankenstein-food products themselves. Not to mention the millions of individual packaging materials that end up in landfills and floating in the middle of the ocean, or the loss of an important spiritual connection to our planet.

If evil aliens from outer space had planned the whole thing to lure us into their waiting arms, I certainly would not be surprised. It’s patently insane.

How could we have allowed this to happen; participate in it, even? In truth, we are already zombies. A la Hansel and Gretel, we have allowed ourselves to wander without thought towards the promise of cakes, candy and the ‘easy life’. And we wonder why cancer and obesity rates have spiked. It would be easy to remain lulled in this hypnotic trance with Cheetos and snack-paks. But it is time to wake up. There’s nothing ‘easy’ about discovering you cannot make your own food or find your own water.

Some are making the radical transition ‘back to nature’ in its fullest sense, but even the Amish use the occasional tractor. Ultimately, if there really were a massive frequency shift into a higher level of consciousness, we probably wouldn’t need to think about alternative fuel sources or recycling plastic. But until then, it just feels right to make little shifts, however we can, to hitch a ride on that giant pendulum. No one really knows yet what will happen. What we do know is that we absolutely cannot sustain the way of life that has evolved since our grandparents’ generation.

The good news us, these past 50 years did not go to waste – not by a long shot. Many incredible technologies and solutions have come of age which will make our transition back to a sustainable lifestyle less back-breaking than our grandparents could have imagined. We have the benefit of a massive revolution of industry and science behind us now, and I believe it’s possible to return to our roots, without losing some wonderful resources. We just need to get our priorities straight, make some compromises, and – well, do a little initial work.

I originally began this post by describing many of the sustainable efforts we are putting into practice around here in detail. But if you are keeping up with the subject, it’s clear that the p-t-b are apparently still not gung-ho about such endeavors, Obama or no Obama, and irrespective of any organic White House garden (though I must snicker at the Daily Show’s recent skewering of the big ag response to that.) So I deleted it. But since our efforts have been taking all of my extra time, which has left this blog sorely neglected, I decided my readers deserved more. I’m also reading Barbara Kingsolver’s Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and I am decidedly jealous. My vision far exceeds our tiny space, at least for now.

So I will say, we are sprouting all sorts of interesting heirloom vegetables and exotic fruits, have met some really helpful and knowledgeable local folk who have shared information on organic gardening in Hawaii, and even received various seeds and plants we are incorporating. Mind you, we live in a suburban neighborhood on a ¼ acre plot with two houses. But you’d be surprised what you can fit in. We also got a late start; it is Hawaii so our growing season is all year long, however we do have mini-seasons, and one does have to pay attention to what varieties grow better in any particular microclimate. We are definitely in the experimental stages, and I find encouragement from all the wonderful gardening resources both locally and online.

There are also some new additions of the common poultry variety to our blossoming backyard endeavor. We’re hoping the neighbors won’t mind. We won’t keep any roosters, but at least in Hawaii we can rest assured that with a goat over one fence and a beekeeper across the street – not to mention the rooster crowing up the street – we’re not likely to be too off the charts.

I am beginning to think about local networks of trade, it would be cool to trade some eggs or tomatoes for some ahi or honey for example, like a modern ahupua’a. Likely the old-fashioned coconut wireless and local farmer’s markets will be our best bet out here, but I was surprised at the lack of online resources in that regard. The Internet would be a great way to establish some new relationships, now that so many more people are getting involved (at least until the power fails ). I did find some which trade vegetables, but it would be nice to include other items as well, which they do not allow. Here is an interesting site on bartering all kinds of things. I will definitely be investigating further.

Our location makes true off-the-grid living only a dream, though the previous owners installed solar water heaters, we’ve switched to low-energy light bulbs, unplug our appliances when not in use and try to recycle every scrap we can. Hawaii has a redemption policy so we usually even make a few bucks. There are no curbside pickups here on the Big Island; we must cart it all to the local dump/recycling center, but it’s not far away and I simply can’t stand the thought of contributing to a landfill on such a limited patch of land in the middle of the ocean, apocalypse or no apocalypse.

The nuisance has got me thinking quite a bit about packaging. Walking into a Walmart, all I can see are the inevitable piles of rubbish, with all those ridiculous individual, throw-away boxes and bottles. Consider the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, one of the many truly tragic results of this way of life. Here is a short list of facts about plastic pollution that might surprise you, even if you think you already know how bad it is. Some communities are stepping up programs to eliminate the plastic shopping bag. Recycle This has some good suggestions.

Certainly it would be sensible to either 1) use 100% biodegradable plastic or 2) provide a way to refill the container, rather than buying an entirely new bottle. Soaps, shampoos, cleaning supplies, you name it; there should be refill centers in our local stores where we can make use of our containers and pay by weight. Or something. In the long run it would make a huge difference. I wonder why the “geniuses” who started this whole thing didn’t implement something sensible to begin with. (Oh, right, they didn’t care about sustainability; only profit, as well as the world government they would foist upon us to ‘clean it up’ and have us believe it’s all our fault. Sorry, I forgot.)

Some ingenious inventors are thinking outside the box. Free energy technologies continue to lurk in the background. One will know the government is truly ‘transparent’ when such knowledge is finally released to the public, instead of being either continuously blackballed or tightly controlled in secret. (Likely why UFOs are also still an enigma.) The wisdom of the ancients, if understood and used correctly for peace and harmony in the world, could be our saving grace. Some people close to me are quick to point out, however, that perhaps humanity is not yet ready for such power if it includes the power of destruction. Some are; many are likely not, if our world’s wars and conflicts are any evidence.

In the meantime, there are many, many other alternative technologies to look for. Solar ovens are a great idea, as are rocket stoves, and would be good additions to the emergency kit. How about a generator that runs on used vegetable oil? A student developed a solar fridge that is already helping people in developing countries. Researchers are making car parts out of coconut husks. Shipping containers are getting makeovers into affordable housing. Wind generators are becoming more affordable. How about a green cell phone, or at the least, a solar cell phone charger? Frankly, that last one should be de rigueur. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

There are options out there, though they are typically not found at the local convenience store yet, and can be more expensive. One can find recyclable toothbrushes, for example. Put your used plastic bottles to work with the Solarbulb lamp attachment. Invest in a good reusable water bottle.

We must also think about the unthinkable. How about reusable toilet wipes? Here in Hawaii one can grow a Melocia tree or ‘toilet paper tree’, with large, soft leaves. Many Moons Alternatives can even suggest some ideas regarding women’s personal care. Important considerations not only for the environment, but for survival situations as well. Toronto’s “Green Bin” program is recycling not only the usual plastic and glass, but also kitty litter, animal waste and even dirty diapers. Kitty litter is actually a really big problem, as the clay mined for it strips the land, it’s toxic when inhaled and disposed of, and not typically recyclable.

Precycling, or simply not purchasing or using items in the first place, is a great thought. Little shifts, dontcha know. I would love to have the time to also make our own soap, toothpaste, cloth and much more…but alas, I, like many others, am still a slave to the society I was born into, though I am working on it. Perhaps we can merge into a balance at the center, supporting smaller companies who use local, nontoxic ingredients, a much smaller carbon footprint and eventually, little or no fossil fuels.

Initially this shift will take some expense, forethought and compromise. The journey of a thousand miles began with the first step, and if we make it that far, our grandchildren will thank us. Do zombies even have grandchildren? I don’t think so. Find local sources of fresh unadulterated vegetables, even meat and fish if you go there, and buy what you can when it’s in season. Refuse to buy packaged junk food and unnecessary trinkets, recycle and buy recycled goods if you must, get off the couch and water a tomato plant. That alone could move mountains, save you a few pennies, and even knock off a few pounds.

This series of small shifts could lead to a greater shift. It would be the start of a larger transition towards balance between city and farm, between humanity and the planet. We would have more time, and resources, to explore space – both inner and outer.

It has always been my vision that it is possible to reconnect with our land and our community in a profound and sustainable way, without losing access to some great innovations. First, we must seriously consider a return to local food sources, however we can manage. But if we were smart about it, we wouldn’t have to hitch our covered wagons on the way back to isolation at the homestead; we could just press the ignition on a small, solar-powered flying car, and continue to trade gardening tips with our friends in the Far East.

Much is being written about 2012 and what changes that year will bring. The Mayan calendar and various other religious and spiritual prophecies have seeped into popular culture to the extent that much of the world will be holding their breath on December 21, 2012 at 11:11 PM Universal Time, like Y2K to the umpteenth degree.

I have often been asked what I believe will happen on that day, if anything. The way I see it, it is already happening; we are already knee-deep in the preamble web of events, from which the tendrils of our future will be created. Whether as a result of ancient prophecies coming to pass, our having to finally take responsibility for the excesses of the past century, or simply the full-blown noospheric power of the expectations of millions of psyches, 2012 promises to be a banner year.

Whatever the cause, I must admit to a sense of further quickening. Terence McKenna is likely smiling knowingly from Somewhere, as the lines on the graph of his Timewave Zero theory march their way towards the 2012 zenith. I believe we are now witnessing the rapid spiraling of current crises and scenarios into some terrific opportunities for nefarious solutions by our world’s elite, not to mention the documented potential for spectacular destruction within our solar system. Whether these events will happen, much less converge exactly on that 12/21/12 date, or even within that year, I could not say for sure, but the timing is notable.

Frankly it’s coming so fast and furiously right now that I can barely keep up with it, as the same quickening seems to be happening in my own life, on smaller scale, in some kind of ironic, synchronistic testimony to the scalable unified field. I simply don’t have time to write about it as I would like, because I’m so busy living it. Perhaps we all are, in our own ways, navigating the Eschaton, whether we believe in it or not.

We are certainly being inundated with a constant banter, which perhaps attempts to instill fear, though ought to only keep us focused and alert. Economic crisis, world currency, new world order, world war, civil liberties, socialism, artificial intelligence, nonlethal weapons technology, seed banks, UFO disclosure, 2012 solar cycle, prophecies, earthquakes, volcanoes, sustainability, self-sufficiency, gardening, alternative energy, free energy, consciousness shift, revolution, evolution…truth does seem to be stranger than fiction these days.

Another resonant topic which continues to haunt me is Planet X or a binary star/sister sun theory, though I cannot provide substantial third-dimensional proof, enigmatic Vatican probes and Antarctic telescopes notwithstanding. The only shred of mainstream scientific evidence could be that our ‘global warming’ phenomenon seems to actually be happening across our solar system, not just on Earth. Polar ice continues to melt, but Jupiter’s great red storm is shrinking too. Still others say we are headed for another ice age. How about this radical take at Rense: Evidence of Solar Manipulation and Solar Changes?

What doesn’t seem to be up for debate is the fact that our Sun’s behavior can be worrisome. Many of the ancient prophecies seem to include mention of the Sun, and/or other planetary movements, such as the Mayan belief that the 2012 date indicated the end of the time of the Fourth Sun, and the beginning of the world of the Fifth Sun. In Revelation 6:12, the sun turned black after a great earthquake. Other ancient prophecies, including the Koran, the Norse Ragnarok, the Egyptian Ipuwer Papyrus, the Kolbrin Bible, North American Indian prophecy and many, many other books in the Bible warn of a future time of destruction during which the earth will burn and shake violently. I enumerated many of these in my book in the chapter, Destruction by Fire. I noted the strange recurrence of these similar warnings across time and culture. Strange ancient hieroglyphics, now discovered in widely diverse locations around the globe from Colorado to Yemen, Australia and South America, all seem to be referring to “some event, possibly related to the Sun, which was prophesied to change human civilization.”

Currently our Sun is in a period of extreme quiet, with the lowest sunspot activity in nearly a century of recording, the great calm before what is now expected to be a great solar storm in 2012, when the sun reaches the apex of its 11-year cycle. Due to the weakening magnetic fields around both Earth and the Sun, it is expected to be more ferocious than usual. A recent report on severe space weather and its potential economic and societal effects has been making its way into the mainstream media. One can now find various releasing hair-raising alerts in this regard, one after the other.

From the Telegraph: Scientists are expecting a more intense solar cycle this time around. Jimmy Raeder, a physicist with the University of New Hampshire, explained it is “because the Earth’s and the sun’s magnetic fields will be in sync at the cycle’s peak, expected in 2012, that will cause an influx of solar particles”.

From NASA: A Giant Breach in Earth’s Magnetic Field, “NASA’s five THEMIS spacecraft have discovered a breach in Earth’s magnetic field ten times larger than anything previously thought to exist.” At first scientists couldn’t even believe it. Themis is working to determine the severity of the expected upcoming solar storm,and the magnitude of effects it will have on our electronic grids and satellite systems.

In December of last year, from Fox News: Powerful Solar Storm Could Shut Down U.S. for Months. Another recent Fox News report with physicist Michio Kaku is frighteningly clear. WATCH IT. I am familiar with Dr. Kaku and his calm intelligence, and this seems almost outrageous coming from him. He claims he and his fellow scientists made a mistake, and that the 2012 solar cycle will be far more disastrous than previously imagined. Wow.

Here’s a real doozy of a doomsday scenario recently outlined by New Scientist: Space storm alert: 90 seconds from catastrophe. Or how about this from the Daily Mail, Solar storm could cause planetary disaster at any time, warn scientists. A Danish study has even concluded that the earth’s magnetic field is impacting our climate. All this, and CNN is still debunking 2012 as a meaningless popular culture meme? Well, which one is it??

Australia is adding a new magnetic field observatory to study the weakening field and hopefully gain warning of an imminent polar reversal. Meanwhile check Spaceweather.com for news and updates. NOAA provides current solar data, and here’s their solar activity monitor. Here is their space weather prediction center. And the seed banks continue to be made ready by 2011.

Here’s a YouTube video of Jay Weidner at the recent 2012 conference talking about the sun’s reduced heliosphere and an inundation of radiation from the center of the galaxy by 2012. The warnings, he explains, are important, but he also separates himself from the ‘gloom and doomers’ by expressing that this change could be seen as an opportunity, even if it was forced upon us.

I find myself agreeing with that. Using a pending Apocalypse as an opportunity is the essence of Surfing the Tao. Whether anything will happen in 2012 or not, current world events are forcing us to take a hard look at how we are choosing to live on this planet. There are of course many people who are too conditioned to the trees to even notice the forest, much less discern any correlations and make adequate preparations within themselves. But more people are growing vegetable gardens this year than ever, and companies are even running out of seeds. Murmurs of alternative energy solutions are louder than ever. Communities are turning inwards for solutions, as well we all should. Networks espousing such thoughtfulness, teamwork and sustainability are springing up everywhere. Whether it’s to prepare for the End of the World, or just the end of an unsustainable world of bad habits, it’s all good.

Many believe there will be a shift, whether wholly on this day or as a beginning on this date (or perhaps now already started, to be completed then) from the third to the fourth density; in other words some kind of shift in consciousness, or dimensions. Of this possibility I have also received a kind of inner confirmation, though it remains nebulous as to what, how, where, and when. People seem to have their own theories on that, to be sure. Love is key; true unselfish compassion is essential, and perhaps if we can cultivate that, the rest will come. Personally, I suggest the teachings of Jesus remain the best wisdom to follow in that department, whatever your religious or spiritual beliefs, if any.

Indeed we are very much affected by magnetic fields; would a significant change in the field give us just what we would need to reach Beyond what we think of as reality? A “perfect storm” indeed perhaps? Creation from destruction? I might like to posit one additional intuition here as well. I have always felt that this ‘shift’ might also either require, or gain a significant boost, from some sort of technology, yet to be pinpointed. I’m not sure why I think that, or what it is, just the idea of some kind of portal, stargate or even shield has continued to nag at me. Call me crazy, but I think there are a lot of puzzle pieces still out there. Just take a look at the megaliths around the world. Seems a bit too contrived to be random. Anyway just a thought.

Whether events converge to create the perfect storm in 2012, or simply give us the perfect opportunity for a positive evolution, the best advice I can give is pay attention. Be prepared, but not fearful. Keep your ear to the ground, and use your inner discernment to find the thread of truth.

Last but certainly not least in this series is the long list of questionable practices undertaken by our pharmaceutical industry, and supported by our government. Now don’t get me wrong – certainly many medicines have been proven to be life-saving, and invaluable for people with serious conditions that become treatable with these medical innovations. I’m not here to argue that modern medicine is a complete flop by any means.

However many argue that doctors are often too quick to prescribe a drug before investigating other safer, alternative therapies such as nutrition and natural supplements. For example, behavioral problems and grades improved in schools that changed their menus to healthy foods. But these days, so many people, including children, are being prescribed drugs which later have been proven harmful to many people. Particularly of note here is the increasing rate at which doctors recommend pharmaceuticals for such symptoms as obesity, ADHD, ED, depression and fatigue. More studies certainly need to be done on the multitude of interactions between all the various toxins we face in our environment (see Part II of this series). Likely as not, they, as well as the quality of the foods we eat, could be affecting these types of conditions in the first place. In many cases, a pill is given to treat a symptom instead of truly rooting out the cause of the dis-ease. However, as also indicated by the previous article in this series, big pharma seems to be winning out over natural solutions.

When sanity and reason seem to have vanished, it begins to smell like…money. A friend told me recently about someone who was prescribed an antidepressant by a doctor and ended up sicker than before – and addicted. Later it became evident that the doctor had received compensation from the drug manufacturer to do so. After some investigation my friend learned that pharmaceutical companies regularly bribe doctors to prescribe their drugs. The more often doctors tout these often still-experimental wares to their unwitting patients, the more they get paid in kickbacks and what are called “spiffs”. The entire scenario is outrageous and criminal. The New York Times published an editorial about it in 2007 entitled, “Is Your Doctor Tied to Drug Makers?” And there is plenty more where that came from. Natural News has a page of articles on such bribery. It’s quite a rabbit hole.

Another subject to mention here is the entire vaccination controversy, which has reached a furor the past few years due to claims that vaccines which contain thimerosol, a mercury-based preservative, are causing autism and even death in a percentage of children. The war is still raging, and official studies so far claim there is no link, even though thousands of parents disagree.

I am aware that many people with autism, while perhaps different in various ways, carry their own brand of wisdom, ability, and genius, often with the capacity to contribute a lot to the world. I must also admit that the basic science behind vaccines changed the face of modern medicine and has saved untold millions of lives. However if a drug that is supposed to prevent future damage to an individual could be changing the personalities they were born with and causing an increase in medical costs and challenges for the families at home, then I begin to wonder. With all the knowledge and technology available today, I might imagine that someone could find a preservative that didn’t raise so many concerns. It arouses suspicion.

The vaccine controversy gets darker when one begins hearing of mandatory requirements, and no way to really know of any added “preservative”. In New Jersey, new laws requiring flu shots for children in day care have been met with protests from parents. Is this just the beginning? On that note, I found a startling article, Drugging America to death, about the true dark side of the pharmaceutical industry, including controls mandated during GW’s time which has made forced vaccinations and drugs a matter of national security,

“In combination with state laws titled Model Emergency Health Powers Act (MEHPA), the government is authorized to quarantine, isolate, imprison or fine anyone who refuses to take these untested drugs and vaccines.⁶ Detailed plans have already been drawn up by the Pentagon and Department of Defense to use the military to enforce these compulsory injections and medical treatments,⁷ and state public health departments have used portions of their bioterrorism budget to identity large sites such as stadiums, malls and cinemas to hold mass vaccinations.”^{8 [see article for references]}

Eli Lilly, one of the oldest and largest of the big pharma, is the company that developed thimerosol as well as Prozac and other powerful and controversial drugs. Its prominent board members have included George H.W. Bush, and one can find quite of bit of information online claiming links between Eli Lilly, eugenics, the Bush family and even the Nazis. Eli Lilly is known to have participated in MKULTRA, the CIA’s mind control and chemical interrogation research program, conducted in the 1950s and 1960s, for which Clinton publicly apologized while President.

Wrapped up in this is the subject of the military’s mandatory bioterrorism vaccines, testing drugs on our veterans and other groups of citizens over the years, often circumventing safety measures in the name of fighting bioterrorism. It’s a very deep and dark rabbit hole of unauthorized manipulation, experimentation and mind control. Enter at your own risk.

One area where most of us have no choice is our water supply, which in many, many communities is now known to contain antibiotics and traces of various pharmaceuticals. Bottled water is not necessarily any better, believe it or not. Those are all mainstream news links. Fluoridated water remains more of a controversial issue. FluorideAlert.org reports studies that claim it’s linked to lower IQs. Fluoride.info claims it’s beneficial. The typical dividing line here, as in many of these issues, is that big pharma and government claim it is safe, while smaller independent, natural and homeopathic sources claim it is not. Just as I was finalizing this article, it was announced that communities in the UK were going to begin fluoridating their water, even though many people objected. It’s possible that it might help strengthen teeth, but have a series of negative long-term side effects as well.

The air around us, while perhaps still free, is also not free from harm. Along with pollution from various chemicals and particulates, electromagnetic radiation from power lines, appliances, cell phones – and potentially HAARP – is also on the increase. People in communities with wi-fi are beginning to complain of symptoms. And there’s always the issues of chemtrails – the famously controversial topic relegated to the land of the conspiranoids, regardless of the evidence. After taking a hard look at this various evidence, it becomes clear that the agenda of the powers-that-be may be considered to be motivated by greed rather than pure humanitarian concern. It has been acknowledged that many medical innovations were important milestones in our growth as a society. However one must regard with suspicion the mega-corporations which are consolidating their power with the support of the government, causing sickness and death in millions, while independent alternatives are routinely squelched. I recommend the reader do their own research, as there is much more to be uncovered and made aware of.

These topics, from GMOs, to illegal vitamins and natural cures, to drugs in our children and drinking water, are simply food for thought. They are not meant to create fear, but awareness. To take the next step in our walk on this planet, and beyond, we must not allow a corrupt system to contaminate our minds, or bodies or our spirits. Take the knowledge and find ways to grow beyond it. Be aware of the injustices; fight against them with small steps, each person finding their own Way.

Ultimately it is the revelation of the true nature of our spiritual selves which so many people struggle with. These various contaminants are blocking this work. While I was writing this, a new study revealed that Antidepressants may also suppress love and romance. This article shook me to my shoes, for its synchronistic timing and relevance to this series. Love is the key to survival on a level many people cannot yet begin to fathom. Without the capacity to love, many people may be left behind. If this is indeed the case, it is tragic beyond measure.

While many use globalism as a means to “protect” or even geoengineer the environment and take our world past the current crisis, Aristotle continues to remind us, absolute power corrupts absolutely. The irony is that the work of saving our planet, and thus ourselves, begins in our own back yards. I am not one to advocate violent rebellion. The revolution is one of free will, and it takes place within us. With information as ammunition, we can change how we think, act and react. We can, and will, change the world for the better.

It's not easy being human sometimes. This mortal coil tends to recoil, it seems, to certain stimuli, at least at first, before the spirit has a chance to step in and reprogram the being.

A very good friend of mine, his name is Michael, has taught me so much about the experience. Don't get me wrong – he is not perfect. He still makes mistakes, forgets things, gets mad sometimes. But during the time I have known him, nearly a decade now, I have witnessed a steady and significant improvement in the way he reacts to the outer world.

One might say, he is really a fool. He is the self-admitted court jester, always talking, joking, making noise, playing music...he is constantly entertaining; sometimes other people, sometimes just himself, getting lost in his own world often for long periods of time.

I happen to know he has been through a lot during his life. Now, at this middle-some age, he looks back on plenty of misbehaviors and mistakes he has told me about. Some of them downright notorious. He has had long periods, many years, of sadness and ill health. He treated people, even people close to him, badly. He was selfish and angry, and readily admits it now. Marriages failed, children withdrew.

But he's also been very much blessed with the most unique story of a life I have ever heard. His daughters sometimes joke to me, he has a little Big Fish in him. This may be somewhat true, and yet, the stories hold up and are corroborated. Occasionally some random celebrity he has told stories about will call him, out of the blue, and it is true, they really are old friends. Or he will come out with some ability no one knew he knew anything about, and be a complete master of it.

This gigantically gleeful and gifted personality is likely what has enabled much of his personal transformation. When he is mad, a much rarer state for him now, it can be very bad. But when he is full of joy, he shines the brightest light I have ever seen. (In fact sometimes it's blinding, and you have to move back a little!) He understands the nature of Surfing the Tao better than anyone, and spends long hours counseling others in these finer points of living, his wisdom sharp and exquisitely tuned in perfect harmony with that person's particular needs at that moment. He has become a rock for many of his family and friends, myself included. There is much chaos now in all our lives, given the various imbalances in the world right now, and people are suffering – yet his protective armor is only seeming to grow in size and strength. Despite the conditions, he seems to truly take joy in life, in the now. He has made peace with its impermanent nature, and has learned to appreciate things others might take for granted.

For many people I know, this past decade has been one of waking up, of becoming alerted to something coming, of spiritual growth and transformation. Michael is no exception. The trials and tribulations he has gone through have whittled down his ego, and polished up his soul. While he is still far from perfect, it seems to me, if someone that previously flawed can have become so in tune and at peace with the world, regardless of the chaos around him, then there is hope for everyone.

I only hope I can be more like Mike.

Lots of questions, ideas and link exchanging around the house these days. Lots of rabbit holes and strange twists and turns. Lots of wows, whoas and giggles of newly-found synchronicities. As well, a lot of furrowed brows and crestfallen countenances.

A few ‘don’t go there yet’s and ‘let’s not think about that right now’. That’s from me.

Eventually the mind will lead where it is meant. But it’s important to keep a balance. A mind, newly freed after perhaps decades of standard programming, can be at first horrified at the discoveries it finds, along the journey it never knew it would take.

Not to mention, each individual has their own specific Way along the path, so it is impossible to give direction too specific. Each must Surf their own waves, at their own pace.

That said, it usually doesn’t take long for the realizations to create a seemingly impassable mountain of information, not to mention an overwhelmed psyche. The questions and connections are so deep, it’s hard to stop the momentum of discovery, especially at first.

This is a wonderful place to be. And yet it is also terrible. Terribly wonderful. Wonderfully terrible.

Sometimes it’s important to take a step back and breathe deep, and Know. Sometimes, it’s important to turn off the brain, and tune into the void – Spirit – Whatever: That which isn’t, and yet Is.

There must be an equal experience of joy alongside, however how. Learn the moment of letting go. Because at some point, the impassable mountain becomes a silly little anthill.

And then it becomes a mountain again.

But, Know this: Everything will be all right.

Better than all right.

No matter what They do, They cannot destroy Us, nor sway Us from our Great Path.

The Phoenix returned to its ashes recently, both literally and symbolically. A new son is rising, and the world is prepared for change.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown wrote a noted article on October 13 announcing the need and plans for a global financial authority. Italy’s finance minister, among others, echoed the call, saying it was “not the end of the world, but the end of a world.” The first of what will likely be a series of meetings took place today in Washington, D.C. Invited were the G-20 countries, which include 19 nations and the European Union.

F. William Engdahl wrote in his recent article entitled Behind the Panic: Financial Warfare over Future of Global Bank Power: “…the dramatic stories of financial meltdown and panic are deliberately being used by certain influential factions in and outside the EU to shape the future face of global banking…”

Engdahl continues, “As I document in my forthcoming book, Power of Money: The Rise and Decline of the American Century, in every major US financial panic since at least the Panic of 1835, the titans of Wall Street-most especially until 1929, the House of JP Morgan-have deliberately triggered bank panics behind the scenes in order to consolidate their grip on US banking. The private banks used the panics to control Washington policy including the exact definition of the private ownership of the new Federal Reserve in 1913, and to consolidate their control over industry such as US Steel, Caterpillar, Westinghouse and the like. They are, in short, old hands at such financial warfare to increase their power…Now they must do something similar on a global scale to be able to continue to dominate global finance…”

In the past several months I have collected literally scores of links to mainstream news articles on the global financial crisis, including quite a few with the actual words “new world order” in the title. Alternative researchers like myself tend to twitch uncomfortably when we see this. Today, from Conspiracy Archive: “I’m convinced they are just mocking us now; and that those in the media who have also become addicted to bashing our heads in with the term/goal/agenda “new world order,” are in on it. The financial rouse has given them cart blanche.”

Here is an interesting article, What economic crisis has to do with the Large Hadron Collider, discussing the strange series of events which all began on September 19 of this year, including the revealing of the bizarre Corpus Clock in England, the LHC failure, and the crash of the world economy.

While the public may recognize the historic nature of today’s Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy, they may not realize how significant – and how insidious – it really is. They will not notice any real substantial changes as a result of this conference, at least not right away, and will probably welcome efforts to ‘avoid future crises’. However it is clear, at least to those of us sensitive to the language and the history of economic manipulation by that small elite group, that They are realizing the last stages of an age-old Plan. We are being prepared to accept their solution to a problem they created in the first place. Let’s just hope it’s laced with rainbows and glitter, at least for a while, rather than biometrics and RFID implants…pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Though not on today’s agenda, there has been a lot of chatter about unified currencies. Expect to hear more about that as this series of financial summits continues. The Gulf states have started preparing for their move to a new unified currency. Scandinavian countries, which have so far resisted the Euro, are reconsidering that decision in the wake of their own crises. Some are describing a ‘tri-polar’ currency system evolving around the U.S., Europe and Asia. How long will the U.S. dollar will maintain its status as the reserve currency? China has recently called for a new currency order. China and Russia are calling for more input in the new global system, as are India and Brazil. A unified currency in Asia, including Australia, has been suggested. Rumors of the Amero continue to circulate as well.

As if in celebration for this noted endeavor, yesterday, the shuttle Endeavor blasted off. As well on Friday, the one world religion movement gained momentum, as the new Charter for Compassion website went online. Comparative theologist Karen Armstrong made this announcement in The Washington Post today. I also happened on this ethics journal article from 2000, The Provenance and Development of a Global Ethic, which seems to propose many of the same ideas, including use of the ‘Golden Rule’. While I agree the basic tenets of love and compassion are important, I cannot support any such effort to organize the world’s spirituality under any one banner. The manipulators behind that scene are the same tiresome group. Talk about immanentizing the eschaton. From Cryptogon, “The old tinfoil is a fully unfurled, in-your-face fact now.”

I myself will make peace with the coming strangeness as best as can be done, because even though the bad guys seem to be running the show these days, they’re really not. Ultimately there is Something much greater in control, able to see much farther down the path.

As we grow closer and closer to a world financial authority and perhaps even new unified global currencies, I wonder if people truly realize the exciting times we are living in. The powers-that-be are finally coming out of the closet, and we thus grow closer and closer to that time and place beyond, where we are truly free.
